Ağır Haddecilik A.Ş., established in 1984 under the title of Ağır Haddecilik Mak. San. Ve Tic. Ltd. Şti, commenced production in its first facility situated in Duzce/Akcakoca, in 1985. In 1987, it moved to its factory in the same location, currently in operation. The company's partners have changed until 2002; and ultimately this year, all of the shares have been transferred to Mustafa Açıkalın, who is currently the Chairman of the Board. The company, with the involvement of the 2nd generation in the years of 2003 and 2004, doubled its number of machineries in 2005 and its capacity has reached to 144.000 ton/year. Ağır Haddecilik A.Ş. put its new factory into service in Dilovasi in the year of 2010. Thanks to this facility, for the first time in Turkey, diamond pattern and tear drop pattern plates with width of 1550 mm, length of 12000 mm and thickness of 1.4 mm min – 16 mm max within these dimensions, are produced. The whole production is performed by the cutting-edge technology; and it is intended that the quality of design andsurface is maximized by state of art automation. Sincere-industrialism approach that Ağır Haddecilik A.Ş has adopted as principle since its foundation and its sense of production without sacrificing quality have made the company a brand and enabled the company to be internationally famous. Our company, which currently exports to 85 different countries, has become the biggest 4th exporter of the sector, according to the data of İMMİB (General Secretariat of Istanbul Mineral and Metal Exporter's Association). Our Dilovasi facility started production in the location of Cerkesli-Dilovasi in 2010. It is situated in a closed area of 10.000 m2 within 35.000 m2, in IV. Mechanics and Manufacturers Organized Industrial Zone. In our Dilovasi facility, which has a production capacity of 150.000 tons of pattern plates per year, a sense of modern and technological production based on full automation is based. Our company, thanks to this facility, has raised the level in sense of quality of pattern plate production and has added different dimensions to pattern plate. Again within the year of 2011, Ağır Haddecilik Steel Service Center will start operation in our Dilovasi facility. Our factory in Akcakoca is situated in an area of 20.000 in total and has a closed area of 9.000 m2; and it offers service with two different rolling mills. Our Akcakoca factory, which has a production capacity of 125.000 tons of pattern plates per year, is located in Black Sea shoreline, between Ereğli and Duzce.
